Tree Animation

Cinema 4D, Photoshop

Concerned with how a computer programme can simulate the natural world and the process of growth. The problem posed here is, in an increasingly digital the lines between the real and the virtual are ultimately becoming blurred. Losely based on the work of artist Roger Dean, the animation addressed the issue that all things in nature that grow ultimately dissipate from existence, turning dust. The focus for this animation however is not the macabre imagery of death but rather a celebration of the intrinsic beauty of trees and through extension the natural world.
